Ministry is full of challenges and possibilities. Partnering with Agape is a great way to provide much-needed counseling support to congregations and at the same time empower ministers to live out their call more deeply.

To that end, Agape Counseling has been devoted to building relationships with local churches in the southeastern coastal Carolina region. We have begun to see folks drive in from the Myrtle Beach, Whiteville, and Clinton areas and we have also established an office in Jacksonville with a local ministry to the military families. There are several ways that we are positioned to help the local church, pastors, and leaders.

What Churches Are Saying . . .

One of the most challenging aspects of ministry as a pastor is working through deeply personal and spiritual issues while also maintaining a personal friendship with members of the church family. I found years ago, that partnering with Agape Counseling allows me as pastor, to know with confidence that the emotional and relational needs of our congregation are being addressed from the full council of Scripture, while also placing a healthy boundary between the individual or family and myself. Before our partnership, I found that we could always work through the needs at hand with good success, but I often found that the individual or family may quickly fade from attendance. Perhaps out of ill placed guilt or shame or preconceived notions of how they might be treated.

We budget for our partnership much as we might an in house contract employee. The many families we have sent to the great counseling team at Agape have returned stronger, more committed to the Lord and to serving through the church family at Wrightsville Beach Baptist Church. We are grateful for the relationship and highly recommend the services offered.
