Troy Peverall

LPCS, LCAS, CCS

Troy is the founder of Agape Counseling Associates, Inc. Although his career began with extensive work in inpatient hospital care in the field of Mental Health and Chemical Dependency with adults and children, his desire and concentrated focus began to include work with marriage and family believing that building strong relational foundations is vital to successful living.  Troy is passionate about helping those who struggle with pornography and its effects on their lives and relationships, helping them to find restoration through the counseling process. At the heart of his approach lies a core belief that every individual is meant for a relationship with their Creator and therefore finds meaning and purpose in life. His theoretical approach to counseling is to integrate faith with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and principles to help initiate the restorative process for change and healing. Troy is recognized by the North Carolina Board for Licensed Professional Counselors and the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board to provide Clinical Supervision for candidates pursuing state licensure. He also serves as an adjunct professor for the Department of Psychology at Mt Olive University, is an Ordained Minister, and enjoys traveling and presenting to state organizations and conferences.
