LCMHC

I am excited that you’ve taken an interest in learning more about me and how I can help you or your
child enhance and flourish in your mental health and wellness goals. Together, we will identify
needs and establish goals.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and I have spent twenty-eight years in the
classroom helping a variety of children to be successful. I have also provided care for a variety of
children in the foster-care system in my home. It has been during these years that I have developed a
passion to work with the whole family in the many life challenges that are faced daily.
In therapy sessions, I adopt a person-centered approach where I spend time learning more about
you, and the roots developed by your experiences, relationships, and environment, that make you
who you are. From my teaching experience, I incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy to help set
goals and work towards new behaviors and mindset for change. I also integrate techniques from
Acceptance and Commitment, as well as Adlerian and Solution-Focused approaches in therapy.
Each of these approaches allows you or your child to move forward in a journey toward self-
discovery and healing. It’s important to me to meet you where you are and then decide which
approach is best for you.
Currently, I am logging hours of clinical experience in preparation for both graduation from
Liberty University and the Licensure Exam so that I can become licensed as an LCMHCA. I
desire to work with those struggling with issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, life
adjustments, and behavioral issues.
Today, I want to acknowledge that it takes courage, bravery, and vulnerability to take the first
step toward overcoming your challenges. I am honored to put my passion, experience, and
education to use as I assist you in achieving your goals and healing.
I hope to see you soon!
