Hello! I am excited to be a part of the team here at Agape Counseling. I graduated from
Liberty University with a licensed clinical mental health counseling degree. I am passionate
about individuals of all ages having the resilience and capability of moving past difficult life
experiences such as grief, difficult parenting, trauma, and overwhelming life decisions.
Sometimes you can just feel stuck, anxious, or at a loss as to what to do in your life to take the
next step. My goal is for you to move through the therapy process, problem solve and find God
in your story in a safe space and without judgement.

I am excited that you’ve taken interest in learning more about me and how I can help you or your
child flourish in your mental health and wellness goals. Together, we will identify needs and
establish goals. I desire to work with women and children struggling with issues related to
trauma, anxiety, life adjustments, and behavioral issues.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and I have spent twenty-eight years in the
classroom helping a variety of children to be successful. I have also provided care for a variety of
children in the foster-care system who have experienced trauma. It has been in these years that I
have grown to desire to help people through the many life challenges that are faced daily that
keep individuals stuck.
In therapy sessions, I adopt a person-centered approach where I spend time learning more about
you, and the roots developed by your experiences, relationships, and environment, that make you
who you are. I enjoy working with values that are important to you and helping you align your
life with your values through the approach of acceptance and commitment therapy. When
working with children, I often find my experience as a teacher helps in setting goals and assisting
children to work towards new behaviors and a more focused mindset for change through using
cognitive behavioral therapy. Sometimes we just need solutions to an immediate problem and
solution focused therapy works well for this approach. Each of these approaches allows you or
your child to move forward in a journey towards self-discovery and healing. It’s important to me
to meet you where you are and then decide which approach is best for you.
Today, I want to acknowledge that it takes courage, bravery, and vulnerability to take the first
step toward overcoming your challenges. I am honored to put my passion, experience, and
education to use as I assist you in achieving your goals and healing.

I hope to see you soon!
