Mary-Eileen integrates sound, clinical psychology with Christian-based spiritual compassion to inform her work. M.E. (as she is often referred to) is qualified by her undergraduate degree in Psychology from James Madison University and a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University of Maryland. M.E. will help you explore the interaction and balance of thinking, feeling, behaving, and relating, Change is hard! But take heart, collaboration with another vs. on your own makes change possible. She welcomes individuals (men and women of all ages) struggling with stage of life issues, anxiety and depression symptoms, grief, emotion regulation difficulties, career, and work/life satisfaction challenges as well as interpersonal concerns. Couples desiring marriage and premarital counseling are most welcome. Her work is characterized by interpersonal relationship techniques, client-centered unconditional positive regard, and narrative therapy elements. She uses interventions from IFS (Internal Family Systems), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy), and the Couples Developmental Model (Bader and Pearson) to achieve client goals for change. M.E. is committed to her ongoing clinical development, including integrative therapy approaches to improve emotional, spiritual, and psychological wellness. M.E. is a certified facilitator for Prepare/Enrich.

Mary-Eileen was born and raised in Maryland, moved to North Carolina in 2021 along with her husband of over 35 years. Two adult daughters call South Carolina home. The call to counseling is a second career after earlier and formative experiences. These included an initial career with IBM as a marketing rep, a devoted season of being a stay-at-home mom, leadership and staff positions in her church including; youth ministry, women’s ministry, and a variety of missions trips. M.E. enjoys outdoor sports and activities, the beach, and riding her bike. Relationships with friends and family to laugh and share the joys and adventures of life are what bring her deep satisfaction.
