In today’s world, life is often chaotic and relationships can be challenging. Wrestling with anxiety, marital stress, job loss, and other difficult circumstances can feel like walking alone at night on an unfamiliar path: it’s hard to find your way. As a counselor, I am here to walk beside you. I’ll bring a compass and a flashlight – together we can navigate a path forward. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA) with a heart for working with individuals, couples, and families who are facing life transitions, broken relationships, or emotional/behavioral issues, such as Anxiety, Depression, or OCD. With a background in nursing and ministry, I have seen first-hand how the body, mind, and spirit are intricately entwined and how our relationships with others influence every aspect of our lives. I believe that each person has a unique set of strengths and abilities, as well as the power to achieve their hopes and dreams. But from time to time, we all need a little help. Using solution-focused and strength-based approaches, along with mindfulness and CBT techniques, together, we can fill your “backpack” with skills and strategies to improve communication, heal past hurts, restore wellness, and enhance your relationships. You can do this, I can help! In addition to my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, I am certified as a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator and a Stephen Ministry Leader. In these roles, I have enjoyed the opportunity to do premarital coaching, facilitate support groups, and lead retreats and workshops, such as “Love to Last a Lifetime” (a marriage enrichment retreat), “Sabbath Rest and Self-Care,” and “Is it Worth the Wait?” (a sexuality retreat for teens and parents). Please feel free to contact me if you are looking for a speaker for your church group, business, or organization.
